# Why did the Agent lose earlier context?

Long conversations can exceed the context the Agent can use at one time. It may then miss earlier details or rely on an incomplete summary. Restate the essential facts and current decision near the latest request.

For information that should persist across conversations, put the approved rule or reference in the Agent’s maintained instructions or an accessible source document. Do not assume private conversation history is durable memory.
